At the meeting in Hanoi, the two leaders agreed that both sides well implement the exchange of high-level delegations and the remaining important bilateral cooperation mechanisms during the Year of Solidarity and Friendship, including the 45th meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee and the closing ceremony of "The Year of Friendship and Solidarity between Vietnam-Laos and  Laos-Vietnam 2022". They urged for efforts to promote cooperation pillars: politics, defense-security, and economics-trade-investment.

The two countries will promote the implementation of key projects, including Vung Ang port 1, 2, 3 in Vietnam’s Ha Tinh province and Nong-Khang airport in Laos’ Houaphanh province, projects connecting road and rail transport in the East-West and improve the efficiency of cooperation in education and training of human resources, culture and people-to-people exchanges.
