Vietnam, Malaysia foster defense cooperation
(VOVworld) - Vietnam and Malaysia have agreed to further their bilateral defense cooperation through increasing delegation exchanges and boosting their affiliations in search and rescue, maritime security, and personnel training.

The agreement was reached during talks between Defense Minister Phung Quang Thanh and his Malaysian counterpart Dato Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein in Hanoi on Wednesday. Minister Thanh emphasized the value of the visit, saying it will contribute to growing friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples and armies. The Malaysian defense leader thanked Vietnam for its warm welcome, and said his visit is intended to further the relationship with Vietnam.
