(VOVworld) – The construction of the National Mine Action Center began on Monday in Thach That district, Hanoi.

Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai emphasized the importance of the Center in the national program to deal with the consequences of bombs and mines left over from the war and promote the nation’s socio-economic development.
Mr. Hai expressed his desire to receive more assistance from countries, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations for Vietnam’s efforts.
