He added: “Vietnam respects the multifaceted, traditional, and friendly relations with Nepal. Despite limited two-way trade, both sides share similarities in their potential and business philosophy. They are the shared value that the two countries can capitalize on to continue contributing to expanding the multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Nepal.”

Nepali Prime Minister Prasad Sharma Oli said he is optimistic about the Vietnam-Nepal friendship and impressed by Vietnam’s socio-economic development. He added Vietnam’s dynamism is a source of inspiration for Nepal and called for Vietnamese investment: “We have been pushing for making Nepal a prominent investment and business destination. We have created an investment friendly environment through the enactment of necessary laws and announcement of policy measures. Our tax regime is transparent, predictable, and investor-friendly. The signing of a memorandum of understanding between Nepal and Vietnam, the framework agreement, and promotion of trade and investment will boost economic cooperation between the two countries. Peace, security, and the rule of law makes Nepal a safe business destination. I invite the investors, entrepreneurs, and business persons from Vietnam to make the best of use of opportunities available in Nepal,” Prime Minister Oli said.
