(VOVworld) - The Governor General of New Zealand, Jerry Mateparae, will pay an official visit to Viet Nam from August 3-8, at the invitation of State President Truong Tan Sang.
The visit is the second visit to Viet Nam by a Governor General of New Zealand following the first by Governor Silvia Cartwright in 2005.
Both countries have promoted comprehensive relations following exchanges of visits and political consultation frameworks. The visit is expected to foster bilateral ties and allow for an exchange of view on international issues of mutual interests.
