Vietnam, Pakistan hold second political consultation
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Pakistan held the second political consultation in Islamabad, Pakistan on Friday.

At the meeting, co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Dinh Quy and his Pakistan counterpart Tehmina Janjua, the two sides agreed that it is necessary for the two foreign ministries to uphold their bridging role, thus creating a firm foundation for other cooperative ties. They emphasized the importance of promoting exchanges, especially people exchanges, and accelerating the organization of the meeting of the Joint Committee on Economic, Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation this year.
The two countries also agreed on the organization of the meeting of the Vietnam-Pakistan Joint Sub-Committee on Trade which will work out practical measures to fulfill the targeted trade turnover of 1 billion USD by 2020.
The two sides also spoke highly of close bilateral cooperation at regional and international forums.
