Vietnam, Pakistan to work more closely to enhance multi-faceted cooperation

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has hailed the outcomes of Vietnam-Pakistan first political consultation, especially the proposed initiatives to strengthen the collaboration in various areas and their joint perception on many international and regional issues of common concern.

At a Wednesday’s reception in Hanoi for Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister Amjad Hussian B.Sial, Mr. Minh reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policy in attaching importance to developing traditional relations and expressed his wish that both nations will work together to raise two-way trade turnover higher than the current level of 500 million USD.

The Pakistani diplomat said he hopes both countries will continue close collaboration and mutual support at international forums and joint efforts to maintain peace, stability, cooperation, and development in Asia.

The same day, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung and his Pakistani counterpart Amjad Hussian B.Sial co-chaired the first political consultation in Hanoi where both leaders affirmed their special attention to the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation.

They also agreed on putting forward specific measures to accelerate bilateral relations in politics, security-defense, economics and trade.
