The 59th Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Task Force Meeting at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta.

Delegates reviewed and made recommendation to improve the performance of the 3rd IAI Work Plan adopted in 2016 which focuses on strategic areas such as food and agriculture, trade facilitation, MSME, education and health and well-being. Under the initiative, more than 100 projects have been carried out with a total capital of nearly 26 million dollars to further regional integration in order to narrow the development gap within ASEAN. Singapore, India, Germany, the EU and Japan are the largest sponsor partners to the initiative.
