Vietnam reactivates tourism

(VOVWORLD) - The tourism industry should take firm steps to resume its services safely, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said at a working session with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) on Thursday.

He asked the ministry to quickly issue guidelines for safe, flexible adaptation to and effective control of COVID-19 in a number of culture, sports and tourism activities.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Ministry of Transport need to work out regulations to organize safe tours.

'The guidelines for road travel, it’s important to require all people engaged in the tour to practice disease prevention measures. Regulations set by tourism associations should match guidelines of the ministry. Technological application should be coordinated.' said Mr. Dam.

The Prime Minister stressed that all services must follow the health ministry’s “5K message” - khau trang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tu tap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration).
