Mr. Dung said his Ministry is developing a project to train 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030. Vietnam will collaborate with two major US chip design corporations, Synopsys and Garden, to establish a chip research and design center at the National Innovation Center in Hanoi, according to Minister Dung.

He said localities have prepared the necessary infrastructure including land, IT, and electricity and water supply to welcome semiconductor businesses. Strategic transportation infrastructure connecting economic hubs, seaports, and airports is being upgraded.

Human resources are now available and will be strengthened while  institutions will continue to be fine-tuned to create the best conditions for investors, Minister Dung said.
