Vietnam records 5 more cases of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - On Friday evening Vietnam confirmed 4 more coronavirus infections in Hai Duong province, the country’s epicenter of the fresh outbreak, and 1 imported case from abroad.

Vietnam has so far reported a total of 1,524 locally-transmitted cases of COVID-19, the number of new cases from January 27 is 831.

1,839 patients have been cured and the number of deaths related to COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 35: 31 in Da Nang, 3 in Quang Nam, and 1 in Quang Tri. They were patients with serious underlying medical conditions. 

On Friday, 35 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital after making a full recovery from the disease. Of them, 27 are in Hai Duong province.
