Vietnam records 9,373 cases of COVID-19, down 2,146 cases

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said that from 5 p.m. on Friday to 5 p.m. on Saturday, 9,373 new infections were recorded on the National COVID-19 Case Management System. 13 cases were imported and 9,360 cases were locally-transmitted. Ho Chi Minh City confirmed most cases: 4,237 and Binh Duong 2,877 cases.

In the past 24 hours, the number of new infections recorded in the country decreased by 2,146 cases. The average new infections recorded in the past seven days is 10,723 cases per day.

On Saturday, 14,903 patients recovered, but 220 others died.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has detected a total of 677,023 infections, ranking 47 out of 222 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 156 out of 222 countries and territories. (on average, there are 6,881 cases for every 1 million people).
