Vietnam records less cyber attacks in January 2024

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam recorded 950 cyber attacks on its information systems this month, down 33% compared to December 2023 and down 23% compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The decrease is attributable to the measures that agencies and units have taken to enhance cyber safety and security, with more investment to monitoring systems, problem-detecting systems and warnings.

However, information security experts warned that cyber attack groups often increase their activities in the period leading up to and during the Lunar New Year holidays.
