Vietnam reports 2 more new COVID-19 cases

(VOVWORLD) - By 6pm Friday, Vietnam confirmed  2 more new COVID-19 cases, who are Vietnamese students returning home from Japan on Tuesday on a Vietnam Airlines flight. After arriving at Van Don airport, they were quarantined in Thai Binh province’s military school.

As of Friday noon, there had been no new COVID-19 cases in Vietnam for 8 consecutive days. The last person to test positive for coronavirus was a teenage girl in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang on April 16.

Since the first COVID-19 case became known three months ago, Vietnam has recorded no deaths so far and 224 COVID-19 patients have given the all-clear and were released from hospital.
