Vietnam, RoK cooperate in mine action

(VOVWORLD) - A Republic of Korea-funded project on overcoming the consequences of post-war bombs and mines was launched in Quang Binh on Friday.

The project will be carried out in the two provinces by the Vietnam National Mine Action Centre, and sponsors – the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the United Nations Development Program in Vietnam (UNDP) from now till December 2020.  The project aims to eliminate the impact of post-war landmines and bombs to ensure safety for local people, boost the local socio-economic growth, and improve capacity building in mine action activities and the lives of mine survivors.
