Vietnam, Russia enhance investment cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam-Russia Business Forum was held on Thursday in Hanoi within the framework of the 24th meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Trade, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha told the forum: “To further promote cooperation in trade and economy, the two sides will establish a system of interconnected ecosystems as a solid foundation for the future. Vietnam will create favorable conditions to improve the investment environment and legal corridors, and reform administrative procedures to facilitate Russian and Vietnamese businesses to expand their operation.”

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said Vietnam has always been an important partner of Russia. Russia’s first priority is to develop an open economy that supports free enterprises.

He said Russia prioritizes the development of science, education, digital technology, and tourism and is ready to integrate its achievements and technologies joint projects.

The forum, co-organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Russia’s Ministry for Economic Development, connected enterprises in freight transport and logistics, energy, industry and green production, and digital economy.
