(VOVworld) – The strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea has been strengthened and developed in all areas, notably in economics, said Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea Pham Huu Chi.

In an interview with Vietnam’s correspondents in Seoul, Chi said two-way trade has been on the rise, reaching 43 billion USD in 2016, and is expected to exceed 70 billion USD by 2020. South Korean businesses have invested 50 billion USD in 5,000 projects in Vietnam.
Chi advised Vietnam and South Korea to pay greater attention to the three pillars of politics, economics, and cultural exchange if they want their ties to flourish.
