Vietnam speeds up activities on environmental protection
(VOVworld) - The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is stepping up efforts to complete a draft Decree on environmental protection planning, strategic environmental assessment, and an environmental impact assessment, to submit for the government’s approval next month.

Deputy Minister Bui Cach Tuyen told delegates attending a national conference on the environment that opened in Hanoi on Friday that this is one of the basic steps to enhance law enforcement in preventing environmental pollution and degradation caused by investment and development activities. He added that this also aims to better bring the Law on Environmental Protection, approved by the National Assembly earlier this year, to life.
