Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh stressed the need to focus on main tasks for next year, warning that 2021 will be another challenging year because the COVID-19 is not over.

"We should continue expanding domestic and foreign markets, popularizing laws, and restructuring the domestic service market. I also suggest improving laws and regulations to effectively implement free trade agreements," he said.

Minister Anh went on to say that it's necessary to create favorable conditions for exploiting the domestic market, such as large logistics service centers. The government and businesses should make good use of digital transformation, he said.

In 2020, Vietnam conducted 550 trade promotions on digital platforms, according to Mr. Anh who later suggested boosting the development of digital platforms and online public services in 2021.
