(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s Olympic team defeated Mongolia 4-2 in their first game at the 2023 Asian Games in China on Tuesday, before playing much tougher opponents Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Vietnam’s goals were scored by Nguyen Quoc Viet, Khuat Van Khang, and Vo Nguyen Hoang.
However, the score could not be satisfactory since playing Mongolia, a weaker opponent, was a chance for Vietnam to score as many as possible to keep the hope of getting into the next round.
Vietnam will take on Iran on Thursday and Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
