(VOVworld) - Hosting events and setting up a long-term relationship with Nobel Prize laureates will contribute to promoting Vietnam’s image around the world and boost scientific research. Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh made the statement at a reception for Prince Alfred of Liechtenstein, chairman of the International Peace Foundation Advisory Board, which is launching a series of events in Asia entitled “Bridges-Dialogues Towards a Culture of Peace”. Minh said that starting in November this year, the event series will contribute to boosting peace, development, cooperation and mutual understanding among countries. He added that Vietnam’s achievements showed the judiciousness of policies of the Party and State in building a just, democratic, and civilized society. Alfred stressed that the great socio-economic achievements of Vietnam since 1975 are a decisive factor for the success of event series, contributing to heightening Vietnam’s position in the world.
