Vietnam to export 7 million tons of rice this year

The Vietnam Food Association says Vietnam exported nearly 870,000 tons of rice in June, an increase of 35% compared to June of last year. In the first half of the year, Vietnam shipped about 3.4 million tons abroad, down 12.7 percent from last year. The VFA estimates that Vietnam will export an additional 3.6 million tons from now until the year end.
