On Friday, Prime Minister Phuc delivered a speech at a discussion on investing in smart infrastructure, stressing its importance to development, economic connectivity, and building the ASEAN Economic Community. He said developing a modern, uniform infrastructure is one of the 3 strategic breakthroughs to restructure the economy and reform the growth model in Vietnam. The Prime Minister added that Vietnam needs to mobilize 480 billion USD for infrastructure development, mostly from the private sector.

Later the same day, Prime Minister Phuc attended the closing session of the World Economic Forum on ASEAN and a handover ceremony to Vietnam as the host of the next forum in 2018.

In the evening, he arrived back in Vietnam, concluding his attendance of the 26th World Economic Forum on ASEAN in Cambodia.
