(VOVworld) – A ceremony was held on Saturday in Hanoi to mark the 24^th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence Day on September 1^st, and Vietnam’s 70^th anniversary of National Day on September 2^nd. Chairman of the Vietnam-Uzbekistan Friendship Association Luong Phan Cu highlighted the event’s significance, saying it is part of activities to promote bilateral friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Uzbekistan. A representative of Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Vietnam hailed bilateral cooperation achievements over the past years, noting that Uzbekistan will organize more activities to tighten both countries’ solidarity and friendship.
