(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang said that Vietnam valued cooperation with Bangladesh at a reception for outgoing ambassador Supradip Chakma in Hanoi on Tuesday. He said that although two-way trade had reached approximately 300 million USD, it had not matched the two countries’ potential. He recommended reviewing signed agreements to facilitate investment cooperation to bring two-way trade to 1 billion USD in the future. He also said that in the context of globalization, Vietnam and Bangladesh should work more closely together to boost economic cooperation and increase mutual support at regional and global forums. Ambassador Chakma said that Bangladesh wanted to share its experiences with Vietnam in ensuring food security.
