Vietnam, Venezuela seek to boost trade and investment relations

(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Foreign Minister of Venezuela Capaya Rodriguez is visiting Vietnam this week as the two countries are celebrating the 15th anniversary of their comprehensive partnership, June 1.

Rodriguez on Friday met Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son who affirmed the importance of the traditional friendship and good cooperation, as well as the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela. Mr. Son suggested that the two sides continue to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels and further strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations.

On the same day, Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc of Vietnam and his Venezuelan counterpart Capaya Rodriguez co-hosted the ninth political consultation in Hanoi. The two sides agreed on measures to promote the relationship between the two countries in a more substantive and effective manner and affirmed their stance in favor of settling international disputes by diplomatic and peaceful means on the basis of international law.
