Vietnam wants to boost comprehensive partnership with the US

(VOVworld) - Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh has recently met Chairman of the Asia Pacific Sub-Committee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Ted Yoho.

At the meeting, Ambassador Vinh praised the Sub-Committee and Yoho’s support for the Vietnam-US ties and briefed him on Vietnam’s development, national renovation and foreign policies. Vinh said Vietnam respected and would work with the US Congress and US Administration to boost the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership. Mr. Yoho highlighted the rapid development of bilateral ties, especially bilateral cooperation in economics and education and training. He praised the success of the Vietnamese community in the US in general and in Florida in particular. He said the US Congress respected bilateral cooperation with the Asia-Pacific region, ASEAN partners and Vietnam, and supported cooperation for an environment of peace, security, stability and development in the region and the East Sea. He spoke highly of Vietnam’s role in the region and its successful hosting of the APEC Year 2017.
