Vietnam wins silver at world three-cushion team championship
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese players won the silver medal at the World Championship 3-Cushion National Teams, after losing to the Netherlands in the final match held in Viersen, Germany, on Sunday evening.
Bao Phuong Vinh lost 34-40 in 28 innings to Dutch player Dick Jaspers, while Tran Quyet Chien was defeated 38-40 in 21 by Jean Paul De Bruijn.
Without winning the crown, Vietnam had the second best achievement at the world three-cushion team championship and finished this year's tournament with the best average score 1.642.
Last year, Quyet Chien and Phuong Vinh won the championship title together for the first time.
