The General Department of Customs will work closely with the US Customs on the basis of the agreement between the two governments on mutual assistance in order to exchange information related to goods with high risk of origin fraud, according to Customs Newspaper.

According to Hoang Thi Thuy, Director of the Management Division 4  of the Customs Management Supervision Department, Customs agencies will continue to review and identify exported and imported goods and enterprises with high risks of fraud, counterfeiting of origin, and labeling goods in contravention of regulations, goods infringing upon intellectual property ownership rights and illegal transmission.

In addition, efforts should be made to supervise the implementation of professional measures to combat smuggling, fraud of origin, labeling of goods in contravention of regulations, infringement of intellectual property rights, illegal transshipment at local customs departments in a number of provinces and cities.
