Vietnam-Australia relations deepened

Mr. Hue congratulated Australia for its important achievements under the leadership of the Governor-General, especially the success of the Federal Parliamentary elections in May and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic. He asked the Governor-General to continue to support Vietnam-Australia relations and help the local Vietnamese community with a stable, integrated life and contribute to the two countries' relations.

Governor-General Hurley said he believes that the official visit to Australia by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will make positive contributions to strengthening the Vietnam-Australia Strategic Partnership and the relations between the two legislative bodies.

He said the exchange of high-level delegations shows that bilateral relations are developing in various fields, adding it’s time for the two countries to upgrade their relations to a higher level.

The two leaders agreed to coordinate to organize activities for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023, especially exchange of delegations, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
