(VOVworld) - Two-way trade between Vietnam and Brazil in the first 9 months of this year hit 1.6 billion USD, surpassing the figure for the whole of 2012. Vietnam’s exports to Brazil earned 850 million USD, up 40% year-on-year.

Vietnam mainly exported to Brazil telephone components, footwear, frozen fillet fish, chipsets, printers, synthetic fibre, batteries, cement, rubber, rice, and auto tires.

Meanwhile, Brazil provided Vietnam with soybean, maize, steel, cotton, tobacco materials, powdered meat, timber, and leather.

Economists forecast that two-way trade turnover this year is likely to exceed 2 billion USD for the first time.
