Vietnamese ambassador named new Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador Tran Duc Binh at the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) has been selected as Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs for the February 2021 - February 2024 period.

At the 27th meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Council on Thursday, ASEAN foreign ministers agreed on Secretary-General Lim Jock Hoi’s proposal on appointing Ambassador Binh as the new Deputy Secretary-General.
Mr. Binh will be responsible for the implementation of corporate support functions, including administration affairs, human resources, finance and budget, information technology, information resource management, protocol and formalities, legal affairs, and management of cooperation programmes and projects.
