Vietnamese circus performers set Guinness World Record

(VOVWORLD) - Quoc Co and Quoc Nghiep brothers set a new world record for climbing 100 steps while balancing a person on one’s head at the Saint Mary's Cathedral in Girona, Spain, Thursday.

They broke their own record for climbing 100 steps in 53 seconds, 10 steps more than in 2016. Their representative said the church only had 90 steps, so the event organizers built 10 more for them to conquer the challenge.

Co said the new steps have a different height and material compared to the 90 existing ones and that they did not have the chance to practice on these 10 steps in advance.

The circus performers flew from Vietnam to Spain on December 17 for the challenge. They will stay in Spain to interact with artists from other countries in a series of New Year celebrations in Spain. They are scheduled to return to Vietnam on January 2.

The brothers made their way to the Britain’s Got Talent final 2018 with their signature performance of one carrying the other on his head as he walks up stairs.
