(VOVworld) -  Hundreds of Vietnamese people and foreign friends took to the street in Bern, Switzerland to oppose China’s escalation of tension by deploying oil rig Haiyang Shiyou-981 in Vietnam’s special economic zone and continental shelf.

Foreign marchers supported Vietnam’s stance of resolving conflict through dialogues, peaceful measures, international law and oppose China’s aggression in defiance of international law, justice and peace. Philippe Schneider from Swiss Ministry of Defence said China as a member of the UN Security Council should be held responsible for the protection of international peace and security. However, China’s acts in the East Sea went against Beijing’s international responsibility.
