Vietnamese women honoured for positive contributions to society
(VOVWORLD) - Six organisations and ten individuals who have made significant contributions to social development in Vietnam will be honoured with the Vietnamese Women’s Awards on the occasion of the upcoming national Women's Day, October 20th.

The prizes will be presented at the Centre for Women and Development today. Certificates of merit will be also presented to three female students who made excellent achievements at international and national contests.
The Vietnamese Women's Awards, launched in 2002, have become one of the largest annual prizes for Vietnamese women. The event was set up to honour Vietnamese women’s devotion and creativeness during national construction and development. To date, 80 collectives and 144 individuals have received the awards.
