(VOVWORLD) - Young Vietnamese people are being encouraged to develop innovative solutions for climate change adaptation and sustainable development at a nationwide competition launched on Monday.
Tran Xuan Dich of the Ministry of Science and Technology discussed the competition titled “Innovate like Swede” co-hosted by the Embassy of Sweden and several Vietnamese agencies: “I hope that young Vietnamese people, the ones with greatest enthusiasm, aspiration, and creativity, will learn from the Swedish people to create new opportunities and solutions for sustainable development in Vietnam”.
This year’s competition focuses on sustainable consumption and production. Winners will be awarded a field trip to Singapore and Swedish research facilities in the region.
