(VOVworld)- More than 1,000 delegates representing more than 7 million youth union members inside and outside the country are attending the 10^th National Congress of the Youth Union in Hanoi. They have different proposals at the Congress, but they share enthusiasm in building the country. Lieutenant Le Ngoc Chung, a political commissioner of the DK1/10 drill rig of the Command Committee Region 2 of the Naval Force says he is very happy to attend this event. Chung says despite severe weather at sea, all soldiers in his unit stay firm to defend the country. “I would like to tell other young people to believe in naval young soldiers on the Truong Sa island. There, I and my comrades are ready to overcome all difficulties to defend the national sovereignty over the sea and island. I want to call on other young people to unite with us in national construction and defense”, said Chung.

Attending the congress, Dang Tat Dung, President of the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Leeds, the UK says he wants to introduce his initiatives on uniting Vietnamese students and youths overseas. “I have sent my presentation to the Youth Union’s Central Committee in which I proposed activities for Vietnamese students overseas including winter voluntary and Christmas season programs to attract overseas Vietnamese students. I also proposed ways on improving the dissemination of information for overseas Vietnamese youths”, said Dung.

Dung says sharing information about young people’s activities toward the homeland will help unite overseas Vietnamese and encourage them to further contribute to national construction and defense.
