Vietnam’s daily COVID-19 cases surge to over 34,700

(VOVWORLD) - From 4p.m. on Tuesday to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded 34,737 new COVID-19 cases, of which 14 were imported and 34,723 were recorded domestically in all 63 provinces and cities.

Vietnam has so far detected 2,606,824 cases of COVID-19.

During the day, an additional 6,882 patients were announced recover from the disease, raising the total number of recoveries to 2,249,155. There were 66 deaths.

By Wednesday, Vietnam administered a total of 186,892,927 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

16,441,449 vaccine doses were given to children aged 12-17.

53 out of 63 provinces and cities reported a second dose coverage rate of over 90%.
