Director of the Cinematography Department Ngo Phuong Lan said that the Hanoi International Film Festival should become a prestigious trademark in Southeast Asia: “We hope to establish a set of criteria for film production in line with Vietnamese and international practices by next year. The state will invest in the production of films of humanitarian value and pay more attention to the screening of films for political purposes, historical documentaries or films for children and ethnic minorities. We will also establish a fund to support and develop the cinema industry.”
