(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s forest coverage was maintained at 42.02% in 2023, according to the latest report by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Last year, Vietnam had more than 14.8 million ha of forest area, of which more than 10.1 million ha were natural forests.
The north central and central coastal region had the largest forest area with more than 5.6 million ha, and the largest forest coverage rate of 54.23%.
The Mekong Delta recorded the smallest forest area of nearly 245,000 ha, equivalent to 5.4%.
