Vietnam's hardest-hit provinces intensify fight against Covid-19

(VOVWORLD) -Vinh Phuc province People’s Committee has urged for strict implementation of regulations on prevention and control of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.

In an urgent document sent to local agencies and administrations, the provincial People’s Committee asked them to take greater responsibility and lead the fight against Covid-19 as well as follow steps stated in the Law on Preventing and Controlling Infectious Diseases and instructions by the Prime Minister. Vinh Phuc has had 11 confirmed cases, 9 of whom are in Binh Xuyen district.

In Khanh Hoa province, 84 people have been isolated in hospitals, including one person discharged from hospital, 80 tested negative, and 3 waiting for test results. The tourism sector has suffered from the epidemic. Travel agencies has taken measures such as disinfection of hotels, checking body temperatures, and declaring itinerary of guests. Tran Viet Trung, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said that the tourism sector, the Cam Ranh International Port, businesses, and the health sector have carry out sterilization to ensure a safe environment for visitors.
