Vietnam’s National Day marked in Macau, Malaysia

(VOVWORLD) - The overseas Vietnamese community in Macao on Sunday hosted a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.

In his address, Vietnamese Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau, Tran Thanh Huan, said the Vietnam-China relations have been growing well over the years, contributing to both countries’ many achievements. He hailed the contributions made by the overseas Vietnamese community in Macao to national construction and development. He asked the local overseas Vietnamese to abide by the host country’s law and embrace on Vietnam’s fine traditions, supporting each other in daily life, and contributing to Vietnam’s development.

In related news, a badminton competition for overseas Vietnamese opened on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of activities to mark Vietnam’s National Day .
