(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s population is projected to reach 104 million by 2030 under the Vietnam Population Strategy recently approved by the Prime Minister.

The strategy aims to maintain the replacement fertility rate, protect and develop ethnic minorities with populations of less than 10,000 people, balance the gender ratio, improve the quality of the population, promote population distribution, and take advantage of the current golden population structure while adapting to population aging.
To achieve these goals, the strategy will strengthen the role of Party organizations and agencies at all levels, complete population mechanisms and policies, develop a population services network, and ensure human resources for population work.
