Vo Thi Anh Xuan now Acting President
(VOVWORLD) - Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan assumes the position of Acting President of Vietnam from Thursday until the National Assembly elects a new President, according to the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Earlier the same day, the National Assembly adopted a resolution relieving Vo Van Thuong from the Presidency of Vietnam and the position of a National Assembly deputy.
Legislators also listened to the Standing Committee’s report on the relief of Mr. Tran Tuan Anh from the post of an NA of Khanh Hoa province.
They also adopted a resolution on the dismissal of Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Lan from the post of an NA deputy of Vinh Phuc province.
