VP Chemical Transport gets South East Asia’s biggest asphalt tanker
(VOVworld) – VP Asphalt 1 - the biggest and most modern asphalt tanker in South East Asia – has been delivered to VP Petrochemical Transport JSC. The tanker was built by the Hong Ha Shipbuilding Company of the Ministry of National Defense to European standards and registered by Norway’s registration agent.

This is part of a project to build two new 2800 DWT asphalt vessels, a significant contribution by the Hong Ha Shipbuilding Company to Vietnam’s national security, defense and economic development. Colonel Nguyễn Văn Đắc, Political Commissar of Hong Ha JSC spoke at today’s handover ceremony: "Over the years, our ships have not only met military needs but also served domestic economic enterprises and exports, contributing to national economic development. We signed a contract to build two asphalt tankers for VP Petrochemical Transport. Today we delivered the first, and received good marks from the customer for quality and contract progress. We encouraged workers to complete the ship on time to celebrate the August Revolution and Vietnam’s Independence Day on September 2."
