(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s third maritime economic forum, with the theme, “Coastal economic areas” took place today/ on Friday in Vung Tau city.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and the Environment, Chu Pham Ngoc Hien, underlined the important role the maritime plays in the national economic development strategy till 2020.  Hien also pointed out the huge potential for developing Vietnam’s maritime economy, adding that using these areas properly is an urgent and long-term issue for Vietnam.
