(VOVworld) – 120 big corporations from Vietnam and France gathered at the workshop called “Vietnam, a new Asian dragon” on Thursday in France.

The event included round-table seminars to promote Vietnam’s farm produce. Participants discussed energy cooperation and trade stimulation on Vietnam’s farm products, especially rice. Commercial Counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy in France Nguyen Quynh Anh said: "The series of events were inspired by the demand of business from Vietnam and France, which inform about the market potential, business culture, and expand business links between the two countries. We hope that more opportunities will be brought by an EU-Vietnam agreement. Through the event, businesses can seek opportunities in farm produce, infrastructure, and industry."

Leaders of both sides witnessed the signing of an agreement towards improving the Vietnamese agency’s capacity in helping Vietnamese businesses enter foreign markets. The event was jointly held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Senate of France, and the French agency for trade and investment promotion.
