In the third match day of the World Cup 2022, Malaysia will travel to Vietnam. “Our defensive line was broken after the course of two matches. We faced Vietnam three times in AFF Cup 2018. We need to overhaul our defense before facing Vietnam again,” Tan Cheng Hoe said.

“I called up Zafuan Abdul Razak. He is one of the most experienced players in Malaysia. He will be the main pillar of the team. Even when he is on the bench, his teammates can still take advantage of his experience and learn from him,” he added.

On Sept 23, Tan Cheng Hoe announced the 25-man roster for the World Cup 2022 qualifiers, with 2 new additions, namely Aidil Zafuan Abd Radzak (Johor Darul Ta'zim) and Abdul Halim Saari (Selangor).

Aidil Zafuan Abd Radzak was the former captain for Malaysia  in the AFF Cup 2019.

Malaysia will take on Vietnam at 8:00PM on Oct 10.
