(VOVworld) – 9000 students nationwide will join the “Students and Vietnam’s Sea and Islands” program in the central province of Quang Ngai next week. Activities to disseminate information on Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty and life on islands as well as social exchanges will be held. 900 of the students will go to Ly Son island. Bui Quang Huy, Vice President of the Vietnam Students’ Association said: "I hope that after visiting the historical relics and meeting with locals and fishermen on Ly Son island, the students will become more aware of the need to protect the country’s maritime sovereignty. They themselves will be the ones to pass the message on in the future."
