Action for “Healthy oceans, healthy planet”
(VOVworld) – Week for Vietnam’s Sea and Islands 2015 has delivered a message calling on people to take action for “healthy oceans, healthy planet”.

The message is aimed at raising people’s responsibility to sustainably exploit resources and protect Vietnam’s sea and island environment and Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty. The Week is co-hosted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Quang Ngai Provincial People’s Committee from June 1
st to June 8
th.
Quang Ngai province held a meeting to mark World Ocean Day and Week for Vietnam’s Sea and Islands 2015 at My Khe Beach. Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Chu Pham Ngoc Hien said: “We should use marine resources safely and effectively and take interest in protecting the sea environment. This is an urgent issue aiming to raise the awareness of exploiting and using resources to ensure sea and islands’ sustainable development while protecting sea and islands environment. We should do our best to develop the marine economy sustainably.”
